I moved about a year ago into the home and the refrigerator was not hooked up to a water line. I just hooked up to a water line today and thought I'd get water within a few minutes, but not luck.
I have the bypass cap installed.

I have pressed the dispenser button for up to a minute or more. I have also tried the 5 seconds on 5 seconds off the dispenser button for a couple of minutes.
When the button is pressed I hear a click but nothing happens.
The line to the fridge releases water when I turn the bypass cap.

I'm not sure about ice yet since the manual online says to wait 24 hours for the first batch of ice to be produced.

Any help/suggestions will be very much appreciated.

We figured it out. Since the fridge didn't have a water connection before the solenoids had been disconnected.
