Looking for part number for this element. Arcing in upper right corner of picture. Element is riveted to heat shield.

The original part # was WB44x2 or the whole assembly # WB45X3. Once upon a time an exact replacement was available.

It was more recently substituted to # WB44X142 which was also a plug-in type element, but rectangular. It too is discontinued and most recently replaced by # WB44X5043 which is a different shape (see image below) and is wired directly into the range.

If using it, the female element block at the rear of the oven would be removed and the wiring attached directly to this element. The element mounting plate would then get screwed right to the rear of the oven cavity. I do not know if mounting holes would need to be drilled.

The shield beneath the original element would usually just be discarded.

Install went well. Had to drill two new holes in oven wall to allow for screws to hold new element bracket. Thinks works beautifully. Thanks for the assist.

Sometimes the receptacle's mounting holes can be used.

Glad to hear you were able to get it working. Thanks for the followup.
