Washer does not fully drain

My Whirlpool Gold Ultimate Care II washer leaves soap suds on the clothes (I have not been using too much) and does not drain the water. Please advise. Thank you.

All of it? Some of it? What happens instead of draining? Dead, runs, etc?

Depends on the cycle, but only a minimal amount of water drains. If I repeat the spin cycle some more water will drain. The washer runs/sounds like it is working, but there is always water left when the cycle completes.

Something in the pump/pump hoses, bad pump....would have to be investigated....
