I've been searching this forum for a few HOURS now and can't seem to find the answer to my problem...so here goes.

We had a terrible power outage last year while on vacation. Long story short my six month old Superba was without power and fully stocked for two weeks.

I have cleaned out the entire unit and sanitized EVERYTHING. After hours of cleaning and using everything from vanilla to charcoal...the smell is officially gone.

Problem remaining is that I used almost a whole bottle of OUST! at one point and sprayed WAY too much of it on the water line. So it apparently has permeated that line and now the water tastes like chemicals. Is is possible to to replace just the soft plastic water line??? Help, I hate the brita pitcher in my fridge that NO ONE IN MY HOUSE WILL REFILL!!!

Oh Yeah!!! You are giving me hope here.

One more question, is replacing it fairly easy? I mean I'm pretty handy, I've replaces thermostats and bathroom faucets and that kind of stuff...but I am slightly intimidated by this project.

Yes, fairly easy.

You have a coil Reservoir that cools the water in your refrigerator section, its #31 here: 02-Refrigerator Liner Parts parts for Whirlpool KSRG25FKSS18 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Its located behind your crisper's.

You just undo the water line from were each connect underneath your refrigerator, you'll need to pull your refrigerator out from the wall then remove the lower back access panel, and get a floodlight or flashlight to see it well.

Here's the water reservoir for your model you can order:
