Hi all!

I'm having an issue with my whirlpool dishwasher. Water is left over after a cycle. The water is not getting hot, and the unit is not heating / drying dishes at all. The unit fills with water, sprays water, and runs through its cycle without issue.

Any ideas on how to identify what the issue is? i.e diagnostic mode? Or ideas on what the culprit could be? I'd appreciate any help identifying where I can purchase replacement parts and any instructions on how to replace.

I tried looking up the manual for W10698637A but it was less then helpful when it came to parts and troubleshooting.

Thanks so much!

Hi,

That model number you posted isn't correct.

Your model number will start with either WDT or WDF or GU

The model number tag is located inside the door on the inner tub or inner tub frame.

Update here, I replaced the heating element W10703867 and its still not heating water or drying dishes.

The model # is WDT920SADM2

Does anyone have any other ideas of what the issue might be?

I am running the diagnostic cycle now, I hit 3 buttons consecutively and closed the door and its running through a cycle, not quite sure what to look at/for once it completes for error codes?

Anytime you replace a part on these dishwashers you always have to run the SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS CYCLE, and let it run all the way through to reset it back to default.

Entry sequence: Press any 3 keys in the sequence 1-2-3, 1-2-3, 1-2-3 with no more than 1 second between key presses. NOTE: Some models have replaced the “Clean” LED with “Completed.”
The Service Diagnostics Cycle will start when the door is closed.

■ Invoking Service Diagnostics clears all status and last run information from memory and restores defaults. It also forces the next cycle to be a sensor calibration cycle.

LET IT RUN ALL THE WAY THROUGH: Service diagnostic cycle will take about 23 minutes.

Do that now, and report back.:)
