I've tried to be thorough and make sure this isn't a duplicate, but I've exhausted all suggestions I've found in other posts...
The drier started turning on the "Check Vent" light a week or two ago, on every run. Using the manual time cycle does not do this, and I've learned elsewhere this is because the manual cycles do not check the sensors.
Here's what I've done so far...
1. Checked hose from dryer to wall. It's only 9 months old, and was clean as a whistle.
2. Used a brush head, drill, and rods to clean the full vent from inside to out. Not much came out, seemed to be pretty clean.
3. Replaced the exterior hood.
4. Disassembled dryer and cleaned (shop vacc-ed) the general areas, lint filter area, duct from filter to blower, lower blower area (lots of crap here), exterior of heating element, motor.
5. Completely removed blower and verified free movement, and no buildup internally.
6. Verified drum, motor, and blower spin freely.
Air flow seems normal.
I don't have detailed info on which sensors matter to the check vent light, so I haven't checked any of them yet. I also forgot to inspect the door seal, so not 100% sure there, but I think it is fine.
I'm going to continue to use the dryer for now, regardless, but any other ideas?
