I have a Whirlpool Cabrio Dryer that randomly makes either grinding or vibrating noise appearing to come from the bottom of the dryer. Sometimes the noise comes on, sometimes it doesn't. The weird thing is that If I temporarily lift the bottom of the dryer, the sound will go away. (see video). I made sure to level the dryer already and it's not wobbling.

Hi,

You have several parts on the bottom base of your dryer. The blower wheel housing, the blower wheel itself, the blower wheel pulley and the blower wheel belt.

Many members have found the blower wheel pulley loose which can cause this vibration/grinding sound, lets check that first. Make sure disconnect power to the dryer before you begin.

Here's your blower pulley with a video that shows you how to access the blower housing assembly:

Let us know what you find.
