My Whirlpool washer is shutting off with 9 minutes on the timer, not going into final high spin. I ran diagnostics and the final high spin works fine but when running an actual load of clothes, the same thing happens every time. I've checked the drain at the lower right front of the washer. It's always full of water (and I drain it) but there is nothing else in there but water, no debris, etc. All of the water drains out of the washer, the clothes are just very wet because the machine isn't going into the final high spin. Any suggestions?

When it drains how fast is the water going out from your drain hose? Pull your drain hose up a little from the drain pipe and watch how fast it comes out, it should be a good strong stream, not weak and slow. That may be the problem, if it takes a long time to drain it will never spin at full spin speed.

Hey yall experiencing the same thing I have 3 units that I have had this issue with. this is after changing out the MCU ( which has normally fixed my problem). I am currently in the process of changing the outer drum rear to see if there is something going on with the rear bushing/ball bearings in the back of the drum. I will update as soon as part comes in and I get changed. The reason I came to this conclusion was I ran a clean washer cycle and it stopped showing a f22 error meaning there was showing a load in the unit or clothing stuck in the outer cabin (fingers crossed it is stress due to bad bearings or bushing). I would honestly just throw them away and get new ones, but the new model of this washer isn't any better. I have ordered 2 and 1 has been out of commission on warranty calls for over a month. whirlpool techs cant figure it out. Will update ASAP

After replacing the outer rear drum the unit has worked correctly for 5 cycles.
so in final i would say if unit is not progressing change out MCU, but it unit wont run high speed spin only around the nine minute mark it is more than likely the outer rear drum replacement as it contains the bearing and bushing for the inner drum.
happy hunting gentlemen! THESE WASHERS SUCK!

I had a similar problem, clothes weren't dry and the washer stopped with 13 minutes left on the spin cycle, but no error message. Doing diagnostics the machine did the high speed spin just fine, but testing Normal and Drain & Spin it would never enter a high speed spin.

I replaced the Motor Control Unit shown above in Jake's post # 4 and now it works just fine.
