My Whirlpool washer model number WFW85HEFW0

Starting making really loud buzzing type noise and gives error code F03 E01. Haven’t been able to find exact part needed. Believe it’s the pressure sensor?

Also hasn’t drained the water that was left in it, and won’t start or work at all. Door just locks, makes loud noise and gives code.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Corrected error code from F01 E03 to F03 E01

Hi,

I looked in your tech. data sheet and I show no error code matching F01-E03.

Where is the buzzing noise coming from? Can you pinpoint it?

Since It won't drain, I'd check your drain pump first for a clog in it, on this model you have to access it from the back.

Here's the drain pump for your model:
Drain Pump WPW10605427

Here's the video to access it: Whirlpool Front-Load Washer Replace Drain Pump Video

Once you access it, you will see the filter cap handle that you can unscrew off and remove the drain pump filter to clean it. Also remove the drain pump to see if something is inside it clogging it up and keeping it from running/draining.

Hey Jake!

Thank you for the reply.

My apologies I fat fingered the problem code.

F03-E01!

I’ll take a look at everything you mentioned tonight and see what I am able to come up with!

Ok,

F03 E01=WATER LEVEL SYSTEM ERROR --->The ACU detects an out of range pressure signal.

Possible Causes:
• Check connections from tub to air trap, air trap to pressure hose, and pressure hose to water level sensor.
Is pressure hose pinched, kinked, plugged, or leaking air?
See TEST #7 (Water Level Sensor) on page 17.

I'm attaching your tech data sheet below for TEST #7.

Here's the pressure hose for your model:
W11044559 Hose

Also, make sure NO WATER is in the tub, then take the pressure hose off the water level sensor and blow hard through the hose. That has fixed many of mine with this same error code.

Let us know what you find.

Jake,

Here is a quick clip of the noise I am talking about. Sounds like it’s coming from the drain pump.

Yup, I heard it, Unplug your washer and check the drain pump first and see if you have a foreign object in it making the drain pump motor impeller not turn and just buzz.

Think I may be in luck!!

Pulled the drain motor out and took apart, found a Bobby pin jammed and holding the little motor fan.

Running first load now to see if all is well, no more loud noise!!!

Thanks Jake!
