Hello! My washer was feeling lonely in a year of appliance issues, so it decided to stop draining fully and to spit out codes E01 F09. I've done a little reading, and it looks like it could be just a clogged drain, although there also could be bigger issues that I sure hope aren't true! It's hard to move my washer out to get to the back panel, so before I do, I'm hoping to confirm that indeed the back panel is where I need to be and what the best plan of attack is. I'm not positive how old it is, but I think 6-10 years is a good estimate. Thanks for any help you can provide! I'm a real novice at all of this, so I appreciate any dumbing down you can do of your instructions. THANKS!

Thanks, Jeff. I had found these, but I wasn't sure if our filter was accessed from the front or back. My machine is wedged in a corner and can't be pulled out easily, so I was hoping to know for sure before I moved everything else first. Most of the videos I found were from the back, so my daughter and I tackled the move last night - all to discover it's in the front! Oh, well! I wish Whirlpool would just make schematics easily accessible (or maybe I didn't search well?) so we know how to access different parts. Anyway, long story short, it seems to be working again after cleaning out the gross filter. Yippee! Thanks!

Thankx for the update

Appliances years ago would be made for years and years with little difference. Nowadays they seem to change every 2 years so keeping up with each model/design is becoming increasingly difficult
