1954 Westinghouse model PS80 refrigerator runs fine, but won’t shut off even after a couple days... I put a new door seal on, no difference... I suspect the thermostat...
Any suggestion on a new one... a universal one maybe?
Fridge has a defrost button as well.
Thanks!

The only place you might be able to find one at is your local appliance parts store in your area.

Take the old thermostat with you and they may be able to match it up with a universal one.

Push button defrost thermostat

Is it freezing food?

If it's cooling properly and running continuously, it should be freezing food. If it IS freezing food, the thermostat may be defective.

I suspect the thermostat...

There is one universal refrigerator thermostat with push button defrost available that might work. I don't know of any others.
