Today, I have a Whirlpool 5 Door Refrigerator not cooling properly.

The freezer and pantry doors seem to be working well, but the refrigerator is not getting cool at all. I suspected it was the the fan inside of the fridge as the evaporator does frost up but I was able to catch it running once but most of the time it is not. I wanted to get your thoughts on it before trying to swap it out, as I'm now wondering if it may be the board that is the issue or something else I'm not even considering.

The previous owner said the evaporator would freeze up on him, would a faulty fan or bad board cause this? I have attached a photo to show specifically what I am referring to.

As always your thoughts and expertise are appreciated!

BINGO Jeff! There is a service bulletin on this. You will need to move the thermistor.

From your photo above I can still its in the wrong place.:)

I'm attaching the service bulletin below.

After moving the thermistor as suggested in the service bulletin, it seems to be working perfectly after a couple of days running. Thanks, Jake...as always, you helped me get this one back to life!
