Hi there! First of all LOVE this forum! Thanks for being such a resource for so may people.
My bottom freezer Whirlpool Gold fridge is a little over two years old and we have a continual problem of the freezer frosting up (coils in the back, on door, and on freezer light). The frost prevents the air from reaching the fridge thus making it warm. Each time we take it apart, thaw it with a hair dryer, wipe it out, drain excess water and start over.
The process is getting old and I want to find a more permanent solution and stop loosing so much food.
I've been doing a lot of research on this forum (reading other peoples posts) and on the web in general and I have found that different people offer different diagnoses.
Some say it's the door seal, others say it's the defrost timer.
How can I diagnose and know for sure? Should I try a force defrost (I read that in another thread on this forum)?
I am hoping you can shed some light on the situation and provide me with the instructions (or manual) on how to fix this thing once and for all.
Thanks so much in advance.
