We bought a used chest freezer when moving into our new house this week and had to remove the top to get it into the basement. In doing that I also had to unplug the power cord from the lid. It was working fine when we picked it up but now it makes a very loud buzzing alarm sound when plugged in. Our movers were a bit rough so I am wondering if a part got broken or if removing the power cord tripped something. The light on the front of the lid does light up when plugged in.

See if you can pinpoint where the buzzing is coming from.

Here's the parts diagram for your model:
#1 is the compressor
#2 is the compressor start relay

Check the wiring harness #20 for the light issue:

Thanks for the advice. We discovered that there was a tiny switch on the very bottom for the temperature alarm and it was going off immediately when the freezer was plugged in because of the warmth. After turning that to off we were able to plug it in and it did get to temp.
