On this whirlpool dishwasher the top spray arm isn't moving. Water comes out but the spray arm isn't circling around. The arm spray holes aren't plugged and the arm isn't stuck - it moves freely. The bottom spray arm moves and shoots water out.

Corrected model number

Hi,

That's a part number and not the model number of the dishwasher. Is this the same dishwasher as the one you posted about last year (model WDF330PAHB0)?

Thanks!

Are you referring to the washarm #3 here:

Have you removed and cleaned your filter screens?

Here's the filters for this model and the video is in the part link to show you how to remove/check-clean/replace the filter.

I just got done pulling the dishwasher. I pulled the pump and checked it and for anything blocking the impellers. check the sump area and no blockage. Check the tube that goes straight up to the top spray wand and its clear. Rechecked both spray arms and they are clear and unblocked. I run the dishwasher thru a cycle and open the door and you can see the bottom door spray arm moving with water coming out. The top is still in the same position not moving with water coming out. I don't know what's going on

I ended up buying a new motor/circulation pump on eBay for $100. Started the dishwasher and its no different than before.Same water pressure spraying out and top arm still doesn't move. What I did noticed is that it seemed the pump was sucking in air like not enough water was in the tub. So I added 1/2gal of water and it was spraying harder. but top spray arm still didn't move.

How high is the water level coming up after it fills?

These dishwashers use very little water.

Make sure the water supply tube, manifold, and upper spray arm are not cracked or broken.

Here's the parts diagram:
#1 is the water supply(feed) tube
#4 is the manifold to the upper spray arm
#3 is the spray arm
