Hi Jake,

Back in August, you helped me with diagnosing the dishwasher and apparently without fixing anything, it started to work again.

Recently though, we were trying to put back the lower tray and since then, its acting the same way it acted back in August here.

I have gone through all the steps to check for voltage, control board or interface diagnostic (when control is good, it starts a drain cycle but not if its bad) but its just completely dead.

From last time, I had a brand new board that I tried as well but nothing seems to work. Short of order a new user interface (or whatever the right term is), is there anything I can do to diagnose and fix this? Thanks in advance!

Post #17 of your previous thread:
Ok, put the control board back in place and all the electrical connectors back in place too, then do this test below.

- Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
- Disassemble door and disconnect keypad connection JUST from control board.:)
- Verify all other connections to control board are made.
- Reassemble door, but do not close door.
- Plug in dishwasher or reconnect power.
- Wait at least 7 seconds for control board to power up completely.
- Close dishwasher door and monitor control board response:
A. If control board is OK, it will respond by turning on the drain motor for 2 minutes. Replace control panel keypad(aka user interface).
B. If control board is not OK, it will not turn on drain motor. Wait for at least 10 seconds. If there is still no drain response, then replace control board or LCD display module (whichever one the keypad was connected to).

--->Did you do this TEST above? that's the ONLY way to know where the problem lies.:)

So, if the door switch is fine and you already replaced the control board, then the only part left is the control panel keypad(aka user interface).

Here's the control panel keypad(aka user interface) for your model:

Thanks Jake, I tried the test but with both, new and old controller, the drain motor didn't run. In any case, I have ordered the control panel and its on backorder so it will be a while before I get it. Hopefully installing that will fix the issue.

Ok, yes that seems odd the drain motor didn't run, that would mean a bad control board, but you already replaced it.

Putting back the spray arm shouldn't have caused it to break again, I'm puzzled too. Check all your electrical wire connectors to make sure none of the metal pins got bent or backed out.
