recently my whirlpool ventless dryer has had an issue starting. it takes anywhere from 1 - 4 tries to get the dryer to start. so far... once it starts, it runs fine. what seems to happen is when you press the start button, the drum starts to turn.. maybe 1/4 to 1/2 a rotation and then stops. i have to hit the button a couple more times and then it starts, runs normally from what i can tell and completes the cycle. any thoughts?

You can check and see what error code you might be getting.

thanx Jake... there are no error codes on the dryer. it is just taking multiple tries to get the dryer to start. But i'll read thru the data sheet to see what i can find... thanx again!

Does the dryer motor sound like its grinding or a loud hum sound from the motor when you start the dryer?

not really grinding... but there is a noise and/or "hum" when it tries to start.
