Our Whirlpool Duet GHW9100LW2 has been giving intermittent F11 & FDL errors for a few years.... we put off the inevitable as long as we could manage, but the errors have become more regular. In reading the research include very helpful info on this site, my understanding is that, with the errors being intermittent, one cause could be the door lock unit. Can you confirm that could cause both error types, intermittently? If most likely to be MCU or CCU (not accessible due to stacking), we may just need to get a new washer as the cost and difficulty would be excessive. But we at least want to try the door lock unit if that's a real possibility. And can you please provide the part info, if so? Thanks.

Hi,

F11 is a serial communication error. Communication between the Central Control Unit (CCU) and the Motor Control Unit (MCU) cannot be sent correctly.

Look at the MCU for any burns spot on it first before checking the door lock switch assembly.

• Check Wire Harness connections to the MCU, the motor, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
• Check the Drive system for any worn or failed components
• Check MCU
• Check CCU
• Check Motor
• Check Wire Harness

Here's the MCU(Motor Control Board) for your model below, its located at the bottom left side when you open the bottom access panel. You can get to it by just removing the front bottom access panel, you don't need to remove the dryer on your stackable to check the MCU:
