Whirlpool electric range (model WFE505W0HS1) "Cooktop On" and "Cooktop Hot" lights on constantly

I have an almost 5 year old Whirlpool electric range (model WFE505W0HS1). The "Cooktop On" and "Cooktop Hot" lights don't turn off. I don't know when this behavior began though. Is this something that can be resolved with the Control Lock or is there a problem with one of the switches or something else? Attached is a picture.

Yes.

There is a temperature sensors on each element (see the following link). It is used to turn on a 'hot service' indicator light. One of them is likely defective and needs to be replaced.

Someone would need to investigate which element's sensor is responsible and replace the element. (No, the limiter is not available separately, only with the whole element.)
