Yesterday we had a power outage from the hurricane. Everything seemed okay agter power was restored but I noticed later in the night that the fridge was not cool. Also the control panel on the front is not working. I tried unplugging it for 10 minutes and and plugging it back it but it just made a whirring sound for a few seconds followed by a clunk. The buttons on the control panel do not work, but when I press a button they all light up until the button is released. Ive tried reading some of the threads in here but it seems that everyone elses problem is just slightly different from mine. Trying to avoid spending hundreds of dollars to troubleshoot. Does anyone know where I should look first?

Pull the refrigerator out from the wall, then unplug it, then remove the lower back access panel. Then leave it unplugged for 10 minutes again. Then plug it back in and see of that whirring sound and clunk is coming from your compressor.

The compressor is the big black ball shaped part.
