"Clean" light blinks 7 times. Control Panel was replaced this fall by appliance serviceman. I replaced the heating element this afternoon. I'm having issues resetting it. Have tried most combinations and tricks in forums and videos. Any help would be wonderful. Thx!

Hi,

It can only be a bad heater, a bad hi-limit thermostat, a bad control board, or your sump chopper screen is clogged which causes the water NOT to circulate over the heating element per the video below.

Since you already replaced your heating element, we can eliminate that.

Here's our main thread on it: https://www.applianceblog.com/mainforums/threads/5671-Clean-light-flashes-7-times

Also Read post #24 to check the sump filter screen and black check valve.

And here's the official video of this error code:

The high-limit thermostat Part# WP661566 is about the size of a dime, held to the bottom of the tub with a metal bracket. You'll see it, it has two wires on it. Here's how to check it. Take the two wires off, then get your ohm meter and ohm it for continuity, it should read 0 ohms.

TURN THE BREAKER OFF TO THE DISHWASHER FIRST BEFORE ACCESSING AND OHM TESTING IT!

It ohms just like a thermal fuse, watch this video below:

The outer door panel comes off for better access.
