I have a Whirlpool Electric Stove/Oven model WFE505W0JZ. After shutting the oven off, the “COOKTOP ON” and “COOKTOP HOT” lights stayed on. I determined the front left dual element burner wasn’t turning off and figured it was most likely the switch and ordered a new one. I kicked the breaker in my breaker box to kill power to stove for no issues.

A day later, my wife turned the breaker on and cooked and forgot to turn the breaker off. When I came out to check the stove, it still said “COOKTOP ON” and “COOKTOP HOT” so I felt the front left burner and it was cool to the touch and now the front right burner was still warm after sitting for quite some time.

So yesterday it was the front left, today it is the front right (and I know I’m not crazy).

Any thoughts on this??

Thanks.

So the warm burner may have still been warm
From my wife cooking dinner. I think the issue is still the infinite switch which I will replace tomorrow.

I turned on all 4 burners on high for a minute and then turned them off. Set a timer for 45 minutes and all were cool to the touch except the front left was noticeably warmer from the rest.
