Looking for advice on a refrigerator repair or to replace it. We have a water dispenser on our refrigerator but we get these amoeba like slime floaty things that come out of the dispenser as shown in the pictures.
They’re not like the little white floaty bubbles that go away after you let the water settle. We had a family handyman come out and replace the whole coil inside the refrigerator, and all the plastic tubing from the back to front. We also replaced the water filter.
It worked for about two months and we now have the same issue again. We tried replacing the water filter again and still same result, gross water. The strange part is that the ice maker does not produce these amoeba like floaters if you let the ice thaw out, and it never has.
FYI we aren’t trying to do any repairs ourselves, just looking for advice on whether we should call a refrigerator repairman, a plumber(not sure if the source is coming from somewhere previous to the refrigerator, although no issues with the tap water) or just spend the money and buy a new refrigerator. Make and model posted in picture.
