Hello! I have a similar issue I've seen here with my Whirlpool GI7FVCXXA01. Initially I thought it stopped making ice, but it is very slowly producing, but the ice is much clearer than it used to be. I removed the front cover to do a test the tech sheet noted and found that the ice maker has been leaking water somewhere which has been pooling around the ice maker (and now is pooling inside the fridge...)

Is this a fill valve or is the ice maker itself in need of replacement? Let me know what other info needed might be helpful.

Hi,

Take the ice maker out and see how high the water level is in the ice tray. If it's leaking from the ice maker, replace the ice maker. Overtime the fill circuit in the ice maker wears and causes the ice maker to overfill itself.

Here's the ice maker for your model you can order here:

Thanks, Jake! Replaced the ice maker last night (after letting it thaw out for awhile... it was almost frozen solid in there). New unit fills as expected and does not overflow all over the fridge now.
