We acquired a used Whirlpool Fridge with no ice maker in it. It appears all we have to do is purchase the correct model ice maker to go in it. Can anyone help me figure out which ice maker kit to purchase - model #, please? Thanks, Waldo

That is an older model but it looks like the icemaker kit is still available for it and even reasonably priced! There are 2 possibilities:

or

Hi Dan O - is the Model #1129313 the ONLY ice maker kit that will work? I found a #1129316 - and was hoping this model may do the trick also? Please advise. Thanks, Waldo

You need to use the kit made for your refrigerator's design. While the icemaker itself might be the same the rest of the parts contained in the kit are specific to the particular fridge design. I provided a description of the fridge designs each kit will work in.
