Hello,
I'm wondering if there is a way to bypass the Icebin Optical sensor for the icemaker. part W10898445 on a WRF989SDAH02. The Stealth UI board J5-2 Blue wire Is described as "Communications" so it's not readily apparent whether the optics are actually just flipping a relay or the board actually communicates.
My W10898445 has 14V in the connector across pin 1-3 RD/BK - BK/GRN however 14V is not leaving from the receiver board to the emitter board on pin 4-5 OR-YL. The Red LED does not light at all.
Does anyone have an ohmic value for Pin 1-3 on the emitter board as a quick check to make sure that board doesn't have issues as well?
Ice maker works fine when manually filled and harvested from the diagnostics menu. Test 15 always reports 01 Icebin full.
