Here lately been having some issues with my Whirlpool (wrv976fdem01)....
1st.... the fridge was 'clicking' after awhile the water dispenser & ice machine stopped working. Did some research and repaired the control board. No more clicking and still no water to the dispenser or ice maker
Found out the inlet valve was bad.... Replaced and now I have water to the filter housing...... but still no water to the dispenser or ice maker.
I then replaced the 'dual' water valves..... voila' we have water!!!

Now the issue:
When the ice maker starts to fill, water now comes out of the dispenser O_O the ice maker is now off, but hey at least I have cold water.

I'm at a loss.

You have a diode problem. The diodes are located in the wire harness close to the water valve.
