Hello, we are having an issue where water is continuing to pour into the ice cube tray without turning off causing water to run out of the fridge door and onto the floor. I've removed the ice maker completely and there wasn't any ice buildup or any other issues found. What controls the water shut off for the ice tray or what should I be checking? Thanks,

Unplug the refrigerator when the water does not shut off, if the water still runs into the ice maker tray with the refrigerator unplugged, then your water inlet valve is bad.

This is your water inlet valve in the refrigerator section per this video:

Here's the water inlet valve for your model, the YELLOW one is the ice maker side:

If the water DOES STOP filling when you unplug the refrigerator, then your ice maker is the culprit, telling the water inlet valve to stay running.

Here's the ice maker kit for your model:

It comes with new wiring that you MUST replace as well.

Thanks, Jake. I reinstalled the ice machine and couldn't catch it fast enough to pull the power cord from the wall before it shut off. It didn't over fill the tray. After a while the ice maker dumped the cubes out and i was able to pull the plug while it was filling, and the water stopped once the power cut. Is that common to have the tray overfill intermittently if the ice maker and / or wiring is failing? Just want to make sure we are fixing the right thing before we order parts. Thanks!

Good, that indicates your water inlet valve is fine.:)

Yes, that is common.

So the new ice maker I posted the link to above should fix it.:)
