2020 purchased.
When starting to wash a load- the drum/ tub makes a loud screeching noise intermittently while sensing load/ drum starts to rotate. After several consecutive loads the noise stops and makes a slight squeak as shown in the video provided. ( I will upload the loud sound when I get a video of it)

Recently I noticed the drum has lowered and is touching the laundry room floor (belt cover) when tub has a load (even small load) while washing and filled with water. I’ve done some reading and it could possibly be weak shock absorbers and/or broken suspension springs. Does this sound correct?
The loud screeching noise has occurred since a month after purchase. I can’t stand it any longer!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Yes, that's usually caused by the suspension rod springs.

Here's the suspension rod springs kit for your model: Suspension W11396716

Thank you! I will order and try that first! Do you think that will help with the loud squeal when it starts rotating?

That loud squeal is probably coming from where the belt guard is hitting the bottom base of your washer.

So installing new rod springs should solve that as well.
