I have a Whirlpool WTW4950XW3 washer. It has stopped doing the high speed spin draining. It make a ugly whirling noise once or twice and then stops. The clothes are left wet, though the pump draining works. I downloaded the service manual and checked the diagnostic codes. F7E1.
I ran the Automatic Test Mode and got no error codes. I tried to run the Manual Test Mode Heavy Agitation, but it would not start. Neither would Low spin, High Spin, nor Gentle Agitation.
So I tried replacing the Shift Actuator based on some other entries on this site. After replacing the Shift Actuator and Recalibrating, I still am getting the noise when it tries to spin drain and F7E1 code. What does that indicate? Thanks.
