This grinding noise would only last 5-10 seconds at the most and now it’s almost at a whole minute. We always hear the one or two clicks and then the grinding noise starts. A diagnostic was ran and there is nothing wrong with it from what the tech had said and had recalibrated the washer. However, they recommended to change out the splutch and actuator which I did for $245 😒. Please help!!!!

Hi,

It sounds like your drain pump itself is the problem, Or you have you have a foreign object in it making that noise.

Remove the drain pump and check to see if that's the case with yours.

Here's the drain pump for your model:
W10876600 Pump-Water

Watch this video to remove it:

Get a bunch of old towels to soak up water that will come out.

Let us know what you find.

Yes, that sounds like your drain pump sucking air, it doesn't sound extremely abnormal. My Maytag washer has that same noise once all the water drains out, the drain pump will keep running sucking air through it until the spin cycle starts.

Does it drain the water fine?

Yes, I have not had an issue with the water draining fortunately. I will order the drain pump and from the video you posted, seems pretty easy to replace.

Ok, then you'll need to have that tech come back out to see what's going on. I would have to come out myself to pinpoint this problem, not all appliances can be fixed just online.

You've already paid $245 with no success, they need to honor their warranty or report them to the BBB.
