• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Hello! I replaced the magnetron, microwave appliance manager, and inverter board; tested the thermistors and door switches, and the microwave is still running for exactly 22 seconds and then throwing the F1E5 error code. I reset the unit and cleared all of the codes in the diagnostic screen before testing along the way, but still nothing. Starting to think I may be out of luck and will just need to go without the microwave function.

Any chance there's been any new findings as to what else could be causing this?

Thanks in advance!

Eric

That code is an inverter error. See attached from manual.

Thanks a lot for the reply!

Unfortunately I’ve done all of that and everything is testing fine. In fact, the microwave will even heat in the 22 seconds it’s running.

Any thoughts on a next step if the magnetron, inverter board, and microwave appliance manager are replaced (with brand new parts) and the wires are testing fine?

Thats a tough one. I’m afraid that calls for in depth on site troubleshooting. I’m sorry
