Whirlpool WRF757SDHZ00 freezer LED out but all refrigerator LED's work

This is the second time my freezer compartment LED has gone out. The first time that I replaced it, the upper LED's in the refrigerator were out too. I understand that this is a series circuit, but don't understand why this time that all of the refrigerator LED's are working. Please help before I remove the freezer LED again. Thanks, Randy

I'd first ohm test your freezer door switch. Make sure you unplug the refrigerator first!

Thanks Jake. I think the freezer door switch is good because it does operate the evaporator fan motor when I operate it with the freezer drawer open. Is the door switch a double pole switch? If that is the case maybe the side that operates the light is bad. I'll pull it out and look. Thanks for the idea.

I'm a retired electrician but not an appliance repairman. I can't tell from the diagram if this is a double pole switch. Should be easy enough to pull it out and look.

It looks like just a single throw door switch, so if the fan motor comes on when you press it, it should be good.

You can remove the freezer LED and check for 14 volts DC to where it plugs into that electrical connector. If you get 14 volts DC, then its that freezer LED that is bad.
