Whirlpool WRV986FDEM01 lights out, won't dispense ice and water, door ajar alarm

My interior lights and door ajar alarm will randomly go off (it started about 2 days ago and will randomly start working then stop). In addition, the door will not dispense ice and water. I can still see the lights/options on the door panel but nothing comes out. The cooling on both the frig and freezer are working fine. I tried the solution in a previous thread to check the pantry panel. I removed the panel and didn't see any moisture or damage to the board. Is it possible that is still damage and replace it or is the main control board I need to replace?

UPDATE: I found another thread that mentioned leaving it unplug and seeing if it the lights and ice/water works and it did (YEAH!) so I just need to replace the pantry board?

Glad to hear that.

Yes, that is absolutely correct, you will need that new Pantry UI Board to fix it, but you can leave it disconnected till you get the new one so your lights and dispenser works in the mean time.

Thanks...got the new part in and having the same issues as before. Could it be the wiring to the panel? There is no visible signs of wear and tear on the wires.

Yes, some people are reporting Pantry UI wire harness breakage. Did you remove it completely and thoroughly check it?

We had same problem - have replaced the board 2x"s, still have same problem.

Did you check the wiring harness to the pantry UI Board?
