I've been having a repeated issue with no lights, no water dispenser, and no cooling. Contacted Whirlpool and they scheduled a certified/authorized company to do the repair.
Tech talked to Whirlpool tech support. Determind the problem was the LED control board. One was ordered and replaced. Worked one month and then same issue. No refrigerator or freezer lights. No water dispenser. I also noticed a clicking sound with no cooling.
Tech returned and again determined it was the LED control board. Another one ordered and replaced. Another month or and again same problem. Once again another LED board, the third one, was ordered and replaced. This Sunday, same issue for the fourth time.
The problem now is the repair company is refusing to return unless I pay another service call fee. My reply is they haven't fixed the problem or correctly diagnosed it so why should I pay again.
In the past when the problem occured and the tech could not arrive for several days or weeks, I was able to get the refrigerator working again by turning off the circuit breaker for several minutes and then turning back on. The refrigerator then worked until it failed again.
So, to me the LED board is not the problem. Possibly another board that controls the LED board and the compressor?
I have read the other posts here with what appears to be similar. But maybe not.
Thanks for any assistance you can provide.
