FIXED Whirlpool WTW5840BW0 washer making screeching noise

My washer is making an awful loud screeching noise. It does it during any type of agitation -- whether washing or rinsing. My husband removed the wash plate and cleaned under it. Everything looked intact and not damaged at all. I am attaching a sound clip to see if there are any suggestions.

Yes, I heard it.

Take the belt off and remove the transmission pulley and remove the plastic cams and see if the teeth are worn down there, If so order and replace that Splutch cam kit and that will fix it.

My husband replaced that part and it is so quiet! Thank you so very much. The noise was a nightmare around here and I did not want to buy a new washer. Again, thank you!
