Hi all,
I recently replaced a drain pump in my LG all-in-one washer/dryer. No problems for about two weeks.
One day, as we were going out, we put it on the steam function, which we rarely use. When returning home, the whole house had a chemical smell. I can't describe it. Not like burning rubber (but maybe with some similar pungency to it?). Since then, when running the washer in non-steam settings, we get some odor. Not like that one time, and not consistently. I haven't run it enough to find a pattern. Any thoughts on what this might be? I know that I should take it apart again and make sure that nothing is melting, but I want it to be a productive venture and am looking for ideas ahead of time.
