• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

I have a Whirlpool Microwave model WMH73521CS5. I was having the issue with it not thinking the door was closing and I stuck a knife in the latches to close the circuit, when I opened them back, it popped and lost power. I have checked the fuse with a DMM and it appears to be good. I have power to the outlet. Does anyone know what I need to look at next?

Can you verify no display, no lights in cooking cavity when door open, no vent fan etc.
You checked the white cylinder fuse On the filter board as shown?

I found the second fuse earlier today and this fixed it. The first fuse was right behind the main board. I had checked it but didn’t see the second fuse until I took the whole cover off.
