• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Hi, new here.

I have this combo, manufactured in 2018. WOC75EC7HS00 Whirlpool Microwave Oven Combo
The microwave door seems to have an issue. If I press the door in hard, the microwave will start for a few seconds and than disconnect. If I close the door normally, microwave thinks the door is open.
There is no error code, it just thinks the door is open.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

This is the update kit you need. Installation can be a little tricky

I'm not sure if I have the technical skills to install this... the best I can do is install a light fixture.
Might need to look for a technician, but afraid of being scammed by them.
