Next challenge
I am now going to tackle the 2nd hand Duet dryer that came with (and seems to match) Duet washer (which is model WFW9300VU02) which I expect might need troubleshooting and parts at some point. (and I would like to find a manual to show me how to redirect the vent from the side to the back opening.)
but there is no tag with a model number inside the door (as there usually is and as the washer has) or on the back. nor behind the lower panel.

Is there a way to work backwards to either figure out the dryer model number or to come up with the model number of the same era/style/mechanics/parts as this one that I can use going forward as a reference?
I am seeing a variety of dyers listed that look similar and have been paired with our washer WFW9300VU02
such as:
YWED9300CU0 (which only gets one Google hit and so that might be a typo)
maxappliances.ca/product/set-whirlpool-washer-wfw9300vu02-and-dryer-ywed9300cu0/

YWED9300VU0

WED0300VU

WGD9300VU0
what do all the different reference numbers mean? what was the 9200 series versus the 9300
searching the past "Duet dryer" threads here, I see Duet dryer models all over the map.

attached is a photo of my brother David boat-transporting the dryer yesterday

Added complete model number

well
it is not WGD9300VU0 as that is gas.
mine has a different array of functions on the main dial as YWED9300CU0 and YWED9300VU0
WED0300VU does not seem to exist.

so I am still stumped. but will keep looking

FOUND IT. tucked up up high on the underside of the rim.

Where exactly did you find the identification tag? Knowing might help others locate their in the future.

Label was right where it should have been. On the rim of the opening.
BUT tucked up on the top underside where it wasn't visible unless you were lying on the ground looking up. Or (as we did) you happened to tilt the unit backwards
