Hello my name is Eric,

My washer won’t agitate or spin, It will fill and drain and the timer seems to be working fine.
I took the front panel off, tested the magnetic lid switch and it seems to be functioning properly. The LED light is showing a 6 flash error code. I did the motor reset opening the door and closing 6X it 12 sec. That did reset the motor Error code to normal function but returns to 6 flashes when I run a cycle. I’m thinking the motor is bad but want to see if there is anything else I can test before going with replacement.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Eric,

6 flashes – This means that the motor cannot turn. Clear the code and if the problem still exists follow these instructions. To check, this first remove the belt and attempt to turn the big pulley. If it turns freely both ways replace the motor. If the big pulley, is stuck the shifter needs to be replaced.

Here's the motor/inverter for your model you can order:
WH20X10076 Motor,inverter,electr

Here's the shaft and mode shifter assembly for your model you can order:
WH38X10017 Mode Shifter & Shaft Assembly

Let us know if the big pulley turns freely both ways with the belt removed.

Jake
