This refrigerator has had the evaporator replaced shortly after the warranty had expired. On occasion I still had to defrost it because of ice buildup on the evaporator by the fan. It started to happen more frequently and I suspected that the Freon level had dropped. I added Freon and that issue went away.
After a number of months I noticed that I was getting ice building up where the back of the ice maker met up to the back of the fridge. I ordered a gasket replacement kit which included a new ice maker heater and wiring harness. There were installed and I also noticed that the fridge seems to run almost continuously, and there seemed to be a concentration of the air running through the ice maker only. The diagnostics indicated that everything is running normally. The air deflection shows normal. Any ideas?

I've not run into that problem on any of my service calls as of yet.

Hopefully another tech or member that's seen this problem and fixed it can shed some light on this issue.
