Ice dispenser was not working. the chute flap would activate but not the auger.
I measured that the auger motor get's 36V when the dispenser is activated, which sounds odd? When I applied 120V directly to the auger it just made a clacking noise.

So I'm not sure if it needs a new board and auger motor?

I did find that both those parts have updated part numbers:
W11202789 MOTOR (Repl: W11117906)
W11293378 CNTRL-ELEC (Repl: W11226382)

Brand: Whirlpool
Type: Refrigerator
Country: USA
Model: WRS571CIHZ01
Serial: HR94552549
Manufactured in Dalton, GA, November of 2019

Hi, Let's first check for broken wires to the auger motor. This model is very notorious for broken/frayed wires, where the wire harness goes into the bottom of the freezer door, that will cause no/low power problems to the auger motor.

--->Lots of members have found frayed and broken wires causing the auger motor or ice maker to be dead or have low voltage to them. Remove your bottom kickplate grille, Remove the black wire harness loom too, broken wires can be underneath it.

Another member was having a similar problem here: FIXED: GSF26C4EXY02 Whirlpool Gold Ice Maker Problem Look at his post #6 he found frayed and broken wires underneath the freezer door.

Here's another one with the same thing about the frayed and broken wires: FIXED: 106.51173310 Kenmore elite ice maker not working - no led light

Here's another: FIXED: Whirlpool WSF26C2EXF01 Door Icemaker Not Working

Let us know what you find.

FoothillsStar, was this you same issue or did you find something else? I am having the same issue, door opens but auger motor doesn't run. I don't see any pinched wires. Motor runs off 12v battery.

Yes! The issue turned out to be exactly what Jake suspected. I now check these door hinge wires whenever a door dispenser misbehaves.

Here's an in progress pic of another fridge where I ran new wiring to the dispenser paddle switch.

I bought some 24AWG heat shrink butt connectors and wire to make repairs.
