WRX735SDBM00 New whirlpool refrigerator water dispenser not working

I just bought this from a Sears outlet store. The water dispenser is not dispensing water. In researching the manual I found a note about connecting the water line to a reverse osmosis filtration system which we have. It said we need PSI of 40-60 when connecting to reverse osmosis...how do I find out what my water pressure from the system is? I have no idea. And then the manual said that we could disconnect the filter in the fridge, which we did and still no water. I'm doing the 5 seconds on 5 seconds off to get it to go. How long should this continue?

Hi,

The easiest way to check your pressure is to go down to your local hardware store and get a PSI water pressure tester. Most have a hose fitting and you may have to get a adapter for a 1/4 " pipe. Connect the hose at the back of the refer to the tester and see what your pressure is reading.

When you get a brand new refrigerator you have to keep holding in your water dispenser lever because you have a water tank in your refrigerator section that needs to fill first before you see water coming out of your dispenser.
