Hi. I've got a Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator (WRX735SDBM00) where the water dispenser stopped working about 6 months ago. It didn't bother me much as first as I don't use it often but ever since about every month or so it seems the ice maker inlet tray (where the tube dispenses the water into the ice maker) freezes up as well and I have to take the ice maker out, defrost it and put it back in. I have replaced the water filter as well as the ice maker. For the water dispensor, when I click the pad to activate it's silent, there's no sound of the activating or trying. If I use the auto-dispense option from the panel, it also doesn't activate the pump.

Any ideas on how to proceed with troubleshooting this? Thanks very much for the help!

I'm attaching your tech. data sheet below.

Water Paddle--->At the UI Board--->J3 Pins 1 and 2 should be voltage when you press the paddle in with the door closed.

Possibly a faulty water dispenser paddle:

Here's a help video to access/replace the water dispenser paddle:

OR

Just remove the electrical connector to the ice maker side solenoid(GREEN) of the water inlet valve and put your meter probes in that electrical connector and keep watching your meter for 120 volts when you press the water dispenser paddle while the door is closed, or tape the door switch closed.:)

This is your water inlet valve in the refrigerator section per this video:

Wow thanks so much, this is really appreciated. I'll do some testing to determine what needs to be purchased.

Ok, sounds good.:)
