We just bought a used whirlpool bottom freezer fridge. The fridge works great but the freezer won’t get cold at all. Both the condenser and the evaporator fans are running and the coils in the freezer look clean. There is air blowing in the freezer but it’s not cold. Not sure what to check now.
Model number is WRX988SIBM00

Hi Amanda,

The evaporator coil inside the freezer should have a thin layer of frost on ALL the coils from Top to Bottom, look at the photos below. If not and the compressor is running you have a sealed system failure and you'd need to contact Whirlpool to see if they will cover it under warranty.
