Sometime yesterday or last night this Whirlpool stopped cooling on both freezer and refrigerator sides. Front control panel OK / interior lights OK ... but no compressor and no fan.

We pulled it out and removed the cardboard cover. Did a simple vacuum task but it wasn't very dusty back there. I unplugged it for a few seconds, re-connected it and it's been running fine for the last 30 minutes etc ... probably not long enough to cycle the compressor under the circumstances.

Is this a control board issue ... I would not suspect a bad starter relay since I could tell it cool from the front panel but it never attempted to start the compressor.

Yes, sounds like a bad control board or a loose connection on the control board itself.

Read what mentioned here to test voltage:

Your model uses the exact same control board:

Thank you again, Jake. It may be a few days until I can inspect. Since the unit is still working, I'll assume the board overall can't be intermittent.

Presumably I'm looking for a loose or sketchy connector/harness on the board or possibly mangled wires at the bottom door hinge.

Meanwhile, the freezer freezes and the refrigerator refrigerates.
