ok before i tear into this i have the LG WT5001CW washer and i have noticed it making a clicking type noise if i move the tube around in the housing. not when i turn the bottom agitator just if i take the tube and move it sideways. it just started to do this so i'm wondering if one of the support tensioner supports are starting to fail? i can pull it out and take off the back or top and check it but just in case someone happens to know and save me that time looking for the noise. i can them zero in on it directly. thanks

jake i get that repaired long ago this noise is only if i push the tub in any direction, not if i was try to spin the agitator. if you understand what i'm talking about?

Ok, because you said "tube" in your first post, not "tub".:)

Yes, I'd check the suspension rods/springs assembly.

Here they are for your model(each sold separately), if needed:
Suspension Assembly 4902FA1665W

ok sorry about the spell error. i kind of figured it might be suspension component but like i said before i start wasting time i figured a question would get me pointed in the correct direction. so i will pull out the washer and take the back off and check for one of these that looks like it is failing. i will let you know what i find out i'm sure there are some YT videos showing how to get to these thanks

jake i did the push test at what i figure is the 4 corners and the tube goes down and rebounds about like the YT videos show, if i move the tub in any side direction it makes a click or maybe you might call it a cracking or snapping type noise but it did not seem to make that noise when i pushed the corners down. i will yt to find out how to get the top up so i can try to take off each support and check them. outside of just looking at them is there a test to tell if they are starting to fail? thanks

Not that I'm aware of on that style suspension rods/springs, only if its going out-of-balance without any clothes in the tub and hitting the sides of the washer cabinet, or if you get a "UE" uneven error code.

jake none of that is happening. so i will just let this ride. it very well could have been doing that for a long time and i just happened to notice the noise and now i hear it all the time when i happen to move the tub in any side direction. and today i pushed the 4 corners down fast and it rebounded fast but i have no clue how fast is normal.

one more question. this is for that blue sprayer you can see on the right side of the soap dispenser. i have sat there and watched the wash go thru its cycle and i have never seen the operate. i have used the heavy duty the normal the bulk and after the wash i have put my fingers on that and it is dry. so what cycle makes that work? i watch some YT on the operation of the machine and they all talk of that spraying during the rinse cycle to aid in the rinse. but this one seem to not be working. and like i said i have sat there for an hour during the wash cycle until it shuts off and i have yet to see that spray anything. i'm about to tape some paper over it to prove if it works and i'm missing it. thanks

Ok, I agree with you on that.

That I don't know.

Here's the service manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13uuNDvgr7GWaNiQydUEWwfLJMIawUlx-/view?usp=share_link

Page 32 QC TEST MODE is the only thing I could find on it.

thanks jake i do not see anything in that manual either. at this time i trying to get the tub out and the agitator is a bear. is there a tool for that? i put a puller on it and that will not stay on the rim to much taper i guess so i put a 1/4" bolt in the shaft and tried a small die bar and that is not helping so i sprayed it with wd40 and let that soak but so far that is failing. so there must be a tool to do this? i do not want to put screws in the holes and try to yank it out as then i have to deal with burs. thanks

thanks i seen that but mine is stuck on there tight. i put a small screw in the hole and then put a prybar on that to put the force into the shaft and i just could not get that think off. now i hope i did not damage it by that force i put on it. if i did then i will just rip the plastic shaft housing apart and get another swash plate and cover. i was tyrin gto get it apart to clean the drum and tub as it has not ever been cleaned. so i cleaned what i could and did a tub clean with bleach. it ran all the water out and then gave me a code ue i thing it was. i turned it off and lets see how it goes friday washday. oh while i had the top open i did a pusk test on the tub supports at each one and one rebound slower that the rest. and in the bub clean when it went into spin it started to look like it was goin g out of balance with just water in it. it looked like the tub was goin like if you grabbed the center and moved it in a circle. but that could be a normal way it spins out. thanks

jake i think i may have come up with a way to get that off swash plate off. i will take my 3 jaw puller and put a hose clamp on the top jaws to force the lower jaws out against the plate and see if i can get it to pull up off the spindle. if it works i will take a photo of the setup for your future reference. it may work and then it may not but it is should be better than poking picks or wires into the holes. if all that fails i may have to get some of those airbags that i saw in another video and pump it up and put hot water on the center and see if that works. but using a puller with a clamp on the top of the jaws to hold the lower jaws into the plate should work. i will let you know. thanks

Yes, that sounds like a good idea.

Yes, let us know how it goes.

jake that failed. all oit did was bend the top metal. it is on there good. so i will ebay one with the cap and then cut that one out with a hole saw. the tub smell musty so it must need to be taken apart and deep cleaned. i tried hot water and hot air gun and even tried to pry som on the inside to see if it may break the bond and it all failed. to bad thanks for the help when i get it apart i will post photos of what i had to do and how dirty it is.

Sorry to hear it didn't come off.

when i get it apart i will post photos of what i had to do and how dirty it is.
Ok sounds good Bob.

jake if i have to remove it i guess i will just have to play around with it. it i find another one cheap i will just cut this one off and clean everything and then grease it good and reinstall the new one. oh well if i had a service person out my guess is they would have to break it to get it off. so for now it is what it is. thanks for the help given.

Yes, this is true. I've had many on other brands I've had to break off before myself.

i was toying with the idea of setting some wood type screws into the plastic around the hub area and pulling on that but my guess with the luck i have had so far all it would do is break or strip out the screws. so now i have to see if the cap will stay in as the alignment pins broke off. if it pops off i will try silicone to hold it on if that fails then jb weld it thanks

Yes, I agree with you on that.
