I have a Whirlpool WTW5000DW1 that is aggressively shaking during the spin cycle. The basket bangs against the sides and has worn the cushion/pads on the outside down to nothing. I already replaced the suspension and that seems to have changed nothing. When I took the old suspension out I noted that it didn't look or feel particularly worn out. I ran the diagnostic test and no fault codes came up.

Searching on here and other sites has got my head spinning about what the problem could be! Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Thanks

Brad

Hi Brad,

I didn't hear it banging in the video, it was vibrating badly.

You replaced all 4 suspension spring rods? I had one do this exact same thing this past summer in my local area of Parker, Arizona and the new spring/rods kit fixed it for my customer.

Here's the suspension rods springs kit assembly for your model:

Thanks so much for the reply!

Yeah I definitely replaced all four rods and all four bushings, that same exact kit. I'll see if I can get a better video of it, it's just the noise of the tub banging into the sides of the machine. Are there any other springs, or stabilizers or something that I should check on this model?

No other springs or rods.

Now, we had two members buy this suspension kit on ebay and both were bad, once they bought it from us it worked perfect.

Where did you buy this suspension kit from?

We have seen a lot of problems with eBay and Amazon when it comes to appliance parts. China is flooding the market with cheap knock offs. They may or may not say OEM on the parts but it doesn't make it so. China distributors even pay people to give good reviews.

Ah ok. The guy I bought the washer from had bought the replacement parts, but hadn't put them in yet, and then ended up getting a new washer. They were in the box un-opened, but I'm not sure where he bought them from, or how long they had been sitting in that box not being put in. I just ordered some new parts from you, we'll give them a shot and see if that fixes the problem. Thanks for the help!

Ok Brad, sounds good, let us know how it goes.

Thank you for recommending I buy the new suspension rods from ApplaincePartsPros! They work great. Still a little vibrating, but no longer hitting the sides of the machine, way quieter! I think I might just need to do a better job leveling it to correct the vibrating I have now. Must have been cheap chinese parts that I put in before. Thanks again!

Excellent Brad, glad to hear the new suspension rods from my link to them above from ApplaincePartsPros fixed it. (y)

Thanks for the update!
