Hi! My whirlpool washer, WTW5000DW1 has no lights when plugged in. I flipped the breaker, checked the outlet with a different appliance- it works. There is almost a draining type noise when it’s plugged in, but nothing actually happens and no lights come on at all. Please help! I need clean clothes- it’s football season!

Check the diagnostic LED on the main control board and see if it's on or off.

How does one do that

Remove the two screws behind the console on top. Use a putty knife under each end cap and release the two clips, one on each side. Fold the console forward to access the main control.

LED ON -- The Control is detecting correct incoming line voltage and the processor is functioning.
LED OFF – Control malfunction.

Also is there a fuse on this model, if so where is that darn thing?

See if it will go into service mode and check for error codes. Follow the steps on the tech sheet. I'll post a copy in case you don't have yours.

Super helpful thank you. Is there a fuse on this model. I’ve read if it overheated during the water interruption it could blow the fuse
